Space is the cheapest luxury
Generous, consistent spacing reads as confidence. Crowding reads as discount.

Use a base unit (4 or 8px) and a short scale. Give sections 64 to 160px of vertical room on desktop, half that on phones. Group related things tightly and separate groups generously: proximity is the grammar of layout.
Alternate section tones (page, slightly lifted, page) to make rhythm without lines. Align to a grid and let one element per section break it on purpose.
